नए साल में 15 वर्ष से अधिक पुरानी कार-बाइक चलाना आपको बहुत महंगा पड़ेगा। सरकार ने नए वित्तीय वर्ष यानी 1 अप्रैल से सभी दोपहिया, तीन पहिया, चार पहिया सहित व्यावसायिक वाहनों के रजिस्ट्रेशन नवीनीकरण शुल्क में वृद्धि का फैसला किया है। यह बढ़ोतरी 400 से 800 फीसदी तक होगी। फिटनेस प्रमाण पत्र हासिल करने में भी जेब ढीली करनी होगी।
15 साल पुरानी कार के रजिस्ट्रेशन नवीनीकरण पर 1 अप्रैल 2022 से 600 रुपये के बजाय 5000 रुपये शुल्क देने होंगे। मोटरसाइकिल रजिस्ट्रेशन नवीनीकरण 300 के बजाय 1000 रुपये में होगा।
प्रदूषण पर लगाम लगाना फैसले के पीछे मकसद: सड़क परिवहन मंत्रालय के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने बताया कि सरकार राष्ट्रीय वाहन कबाड़ नीति के तहत प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले पुराने वाहनों को हटाना चाहती है। उपभोक्ताओं को हतोत्साहित करने के लिए सरकार ने 1 अप्रैल 2022 से 15 साल पुराने वाहनों के रजिस्ट्रेशन के नवीनीकरण का शुल्क आठ गुना बढ़ाने का फैसला किया है।
